Fashionably Functional Sportswear: Your First Look at the Entire H&M for Brick Lane Bikes Collection is Here

It was way back in mid-December when THE BRUNETTES first brought you information about H&M’s upcoming collaboration with Brick Lane Bikes; the new 11-piece capsule collection, made from sustainable fabrics, combines fashion with function.

The H&M for Brick Lane Bikes collection was designed to offer cyclists clothing that not only makes biking easier and more comfortable, but that is also fashionable enough to wear throughout the rest of a rider’s day.

Special features like straps on trousers that can hold a bike lock, key rings, shoulder straps on jackets that allow cyclists to take them off while riding without loosing their coat, and breathable materials that are engineered for freedom of movement are just some of the incredible reasons why riders everywhere will be lining up to get a piece of this affordable collection.

So with just a little less than month until the line hits stores, here’s a sneak peek of the entire H&M for Brick Lane Bikes collection and campaign imagery before it debuts in select stores on March 7th.

Couture Tapestry-Crafted Clothing: THE BRUNETTES “Win in Berlin” with KORHANI home

Always one of our favorites at World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week, KORHANI home uses its fashion-inspired tapestries to create beautiful runway collections for both women and men, and then takes those very same couture pieces to print to help showcase upcoming home fashions for the brand.

THE BRUNETTES were lucky enough to see KORHANI home’s Spring 2013 collection last year in Toronto and meet the designer behind all the glamour, Kirsten Korhani. So when we heard KORHANI home was having a contest to celebrate the line’s first showing at Berlin Fashion Week, we just had to participate.

What was on offer? Only this beautiful, 1920s-inspired tote bag from KORHANI’sPuttin’ on the Ritz’ collection! You can imagine our excitement when we found out we were among the lucky winners.

KORHANI home’s modern take on art deco design is available for purchase in home fashions on the company’s website and the prices are very reasonable to boot. With ‘The Great Gatsby’ hitting theatres later this year, KORHANI’s selection of indoor and outdoor rugs are sure to be right on trend. As for THE BRUNETTES, we’re just happy to own a piece of the collection that we can show off come next Toronto Fashion Week.

Soccer Star-Endorsed Skivvies: Guy Ritchie Directs David Beckham Bodywear Ad for H&M

Arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day, British director Guy Ritchie creates a cheeky campaign for the latest offering from the David Beckham Bodywear line at H&M.

The short fashion film sees Beckham running around a suburb of Beverly Hills in nothing but his skivvies after his clothing is accidentally stolen from him through a comedic streak of bad luck.

All of Guy Ritchie’s signature trademarks are brilliantly brought to the short film; fast-paced action, a hip soundtrack (with music from Foster The People), referential comedy, and a Cool Britannia style differentiate this cinematic campaign for H&M with a steamy narrative and an even hotter leading man.

90s Cartoon Couture: The Brain&Beast Fall/Winter 2013 Collection

Channeling a 90s inspiration, the Brain&Beast Fall/Winter 2013 collection featured a combination of cartoon-adorned tees and patchwork denim pieces. The nostalgic menswear line was sported by a slew of top models that included River Viiperi and Jon Kortajarena to name a couple.

Whether sporting classic houndstooth prints or intricate patch-work detailing, the Brain&Beast Fall/Winter 2013 collection, entitled 'Erotic', exudes a youthful air. While retro in its inspiration, this edgy runway presentation showcases sophisticated staples that are designed with the modern man in mind.
