THE BRUNETTES @ the Neighburr Launch Party

Last Thursday THE BRUNETTES took a trip over to the Bathurst location of GOTSTYLE—one of the city’s top menswear stores—for the official launch party of the Canadian brand Neighburr, which specializes in crafting stretch-fit caps and adjustable snapbacks that are designed to appeal to men with a sophisticated sense of style.

The line of refined baseball hats comes in a modern, monochromatic selection of hues, including grey, black, and navy, making them complimentary headwear to any man’s wardrobe. Featuring stylish yet subtle branding inspired by design, heritage, geometrics, travel, and architecture, Neighburr’s range of luxury hats are as perfect for a laid-back look as they are for a suited-up one. Our favourite is The Six-proud Toronto Map cap John can be seen wearing in the first image above. And in case you’re wondering where the “burr” comes from in Neighburr, it’s an ode to the brand’s Canadian roots.

Retro Streetwear Revivals - The 'MALIK' Fashion Story Highlights 80s-Themed Athleticwear

Photographer Hannah Sider captures the 'MALIK' editorial exclusive for F****** Young! Online. Donning a wardrobe of 80s-inspired athleticwear, Elite model Malik poses amidst a setting of batting cages and bleachers and lounges on a vast football field.

The model is dressed in the season's hottest urban sportswear looks from labels that include Jeremy Scott, Adidas, Alexander Wang and Sandro among others. Reviving an 80s style aesthetic, this image series highlights flamboyant color combinations, graffiti-inspired textile prints and raver sportswear looks that are handpicked by wardrobe stylist Bobby Bowen.

Optical illusion graphics, subdued camouflage tones and vivid florals are showcased together in a retro-themed image series that is translated through modern eyes.

Culturally Crafted Streetwear - The Rebel Yuths ORISHA Collection is Artfully Urban

Inspired by the African background of designer Damier Johnson, the Rebel Yuths 'ORISHA' collection combines artfully expressive textiles with the label's sculptural eyewear. This edgy line of streetwear is crafted with both an urban and high-fashion sensibility in mind and brings a cultural aesthetic to life.

Translated as 'Initiations', the latest menswear collection from Rebel Yuths explores traditional African beliefs in otherworldly forces. This clothing line focuses in detail on the ancient art of Voodoo in which Orishas represent the ruling powers of the universe.

Moreover, this visually striking collection is meant to also explore the African influence over Caribbean island cultures that see Voodoo as a daily ritual in life.
