Former ‘Project Runway Canada’ contestant Lucian Matis
recently presented his commercial collection, MATIS by Lucian Matis Spring
2013, at World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week to a room of adoring fans and
fashion personalities. The collection featured tropical, floral prints, bold
uses of color, shimmering metallics and classic monochromatic pieces that were
high on style but made to appeal to a diverse range of women. Tailoring varied
from flowy, airy designs to more form-fitting ones, while some standout pieces included
a hyper-hued playsuit and an on-trend, lace, peplum piece in royal shades of navy
and gold.
