THE BRUNETTES @ the Moda:ko Launch Event

Moda:ko, the name of the uber-chic, Canadian-crafted iPad and MacBook accessory label, is a conflation of the Italian word for fashion and the Japanese one for child, meaning children of fashion.

Designed by Kelly Ho Chia Lee, the brand currently features cases for Apple tablets and laptop computers that come in a stylish range of iconic textiles, like houndstooth, tartan, and seersucker just to name a few, that are sourced globally from different countries famous for the manufacturing of quality materials.

Tailored in Canada, the line is made up of two collections. The Uptown collection combines the look of  a high-end bag with the protective function of a computer case, while the Downtown collection focuses on a range of cases that incorporate bold prints and fun pops of colour in a variety of stylish options for both women and men.

Having the opportunity to preview the Moda:ko collection last night, and each taking home a Moda:ko case as a gift, THE BRUNETTES can assure you that this is a Canadian label worthy of your attention. Combining fashion, function, and quality into an accessory range for computers is no easy feat, but then making that range so luxe that pieces from it can double as designer handbags is a testament to the ingenuity and creativity behind the founders of Moda:ko.
