Featuring model Erik Fallberg of Premium Models wearing pieces from designer labels such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Missoni, Hermès and many more, this style story shows the versatility of a staple in every man’s wardrobe: the leather jacket.

Lensed by Matthew Kristall and styled by Jason Rider, ‘All American’ is a tribute to the iconic symbol of youth and rebellion with a modern twist: it presents the leather jacket in a way that is mature, refined, and all grown up.

Designer x Santa - Printable Christmas Cards

Joint London recently released this collection of printable Christmas Cards that give Father Christmas a much-needed makeover. Working with Coca-Cola's legendary Christmas illustration, the brand outfits Santa in designer looks from labels that include Saint Laurent, KENZO and Hood By Air among others.

The charming series dresses Santa in biker, hip-hop and hipster-inspired looks and is a style-conscious homage to the holiday season.

Versace Men's Spring/Summer 2015

The Versace Men's Spring/Summer 2015 campaign is a nod to nostalgia. This advert exudes opulence and sensuality and features a wardrobe of mesh tops, hand-painted leather jackets and the label's signature Medusa head chains.

Versace's latest campaign reminds us of founder Gianni Versace's Miami residency and sets a luxe and tropical tone for the Spring/Summer 2015 season.

Front Row Access: World Mastercard Fashion Week Spring 2015

The cold Toronto weather leaves us in anticipation for Spring and its more pleasant weather. Here are some of our favourite looks from the World MasterCard Fashion Week Spring 2015 event at David Pecaut Square. The front row shots capture edgy looks from Brit Wacher, Caitlin Power and first-time presenter Hayley Elsaesser who experimented with bold hues and vibrant prints. 

Some of the event's other standouts included a relaxed and beach-ready range from elan+castor and a chic career woman presentation by Rachel Sin. The #WMCFW Spring 2015 event also featured eveningwear presentations by RUDYBOIS, Narces and Mikhael Kale who's work featured opulent and sculptural details. 

The week's most memorable event was Disney Living's #MinnieStyle presentation that featured pop-culture themed outfit interpretations by designers like VAIKEN and Sid Neigum.

Trout Rainwear 2015 Press Preview

On Monday November 24th, THE BRUNETTES had the privilege of attending the Trout Rainwear 2015 Press Preview. Held at Gladstone Hotel's Ryerson Artspace, the event was hosted by Charise Garcia of Kaeru Communications and featured a gallery-inspired layout.

Trout Rainwear is founded by Ashley McDonald and Jenn Lancefield whose garments are designed in Toronto and made in Vancouver. The creative duo believe that “women no longer have to choose between looking good and dressing for the weather" and that their consumers can easily have both. 

Their rainwear range is made using custom and high-quality Italian fabrics that are 100% waterproof without skipping out on style. In addition to their womenswear range, the designers introduced their first-ever menswear model that will be available for purchase in January of 2015. 

After taking in the preview’s gallery space, a set-up that included suspended raincoat canvases, THE BRUNETTES sipped on some wine and indulged in raincoat sugar cookies courtesy of Hello Baked.

Trout Rainwear’s affinity for style and function turns rainy days into unexpected style opportunities.

Aleks Susak Spring/Summer 2015

Last Wednesday, THE BRUNETTES headed over to 99 Sudbury, one of Toronto’s hippest, studio, event venues in the city, to check out the runway debut of the new, Canadian, womenswear label Aleks Susak.

The Spring/Summer 2015 collection was presented to over 250 members of the industry, including members of the media, industry, celebrities, and THE BRUNETTES, of course.

Denim, leather, and silk textiles were used in contrast throughout the line to express femininity and strength, while original, hand-painted art—incorporated into many of the designs by Susak and her artist mother, Mila Susak—highlighted individuality.
