Last Wednesday, THE BRUNETTES headed over to 99 Sudbury, one of Toronto’s hippest, studio, event
venues in the city, to check out the runway debut of the new, Canadian,
womenswear label Aleks Susak.
The Spring/Summer 2015 collection was
presented to over 250 members of the industry, including members of the media,
industry, celebrities, and THE BRUNETTES, of course.
Denim, leather, and silk
textiles were used in contrast throughout the line to express femininity and
strength, while original, hand-painted art—incorporated into many of the
designs by Susak and her artist mother, Mila Susak—highlighted
individuality.
