Mythology-Inspired Speedsters: Jeremy Scott and Mercedes-Benz Collaborate on the New smart fortwo

Designer Jeremy Scott brings a whole new meaning to the term fast fashion with his latest collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, which brings the designer’s signature wings and street style to the electric-powered smart fortwo. The stylish, concept version of the smart fortwo edition by Jeremy Scott also features polished-chrome details, diamond-stitched seats, and a crisscross-seatbelt design straight out of a sci-fi flick.

In a press release for the avant-garde automobile, which will have a limited run made available for purchase sometime in late 2013, the designer states: “I wanted to design something out of the ordinary, something that expressed my dreams and fantasies and that transferred my fashion ideas to automotive design.”

Though many of the features of the original design have been toned down for retail, the smart forjeremy concept car is on display in Dundas Square in Toronto and showcases the smart as the designer had originally intended it.

Mercedes-Benz Start Up Presents: DUY Fall 2013

The DUY Fall 2013 collection was showcased on day two of World MasterCard Fashion Week. This luxuriously layered runway presentation featured the Mercedes-Benz Start Up winner's latest winter-ready designs. From floor-length capes to texture-enriched fur, tweed and wool pairings, this chic and cozy womenswear line proved that the talented up-and-comer is truly one to watch.

While the show's opening boasted dark tweeds, leathers and furs, the collection later transitioned into an array of DUY's signature fringed wool accent pieces and later ended with show-stopping gowns that followed a winter wonderland theme.

THE BRUNETTES @ World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week Fall 2013: Day 2

THE BRUNETTES kicked off day 2 of World MasterCard Fashion Week with a trip to the Maybelline New York beauty counter. While John stood behind his camera lens, Jana got a quick face and lip-color touch-up and enhanced her look thanks to the beauty label's in-house makeup experts. 

After Jana's beauty transformation, the duo took in the shows of the day with favorites that included a cozy presentation from LINE Knitwear and a hair-raising runway show from designer Sid Neigum.

In between shows, THE BRUNETTES posed with designer and model Myles Sexton and Global's 'The Morning Show' personality and host Rosey Edeh.

After mingling in the World MasterCard Fashion Week Media Lounge, John and Jana left an impression and shared their life's inspiration at the Mercedes-Benz #MBFW13 booth and posed for a photo at the Rowenta Red Carpet wall.h

As the evening drew to an end the duo visited one last stop, Barbie's Dreamhouse, where John gave the famed doll his digits while Jana wrestled her for some of her coveted shoe accessories.
