When one thinks of posh sporting
events, many come to mind: the Monaco Grand Prix, Wimbledon, or maybe, the Tour
de France. For THE BRUNETTES however, we always think equestrian first.
So you can imagine our excitement
when we were invited by ANPR to cover this year’s Polo for Heart games. The
3-day charity event was held at The Gormley Polo Centre in Richmond Hill to
raise funds for heart and stroke focused causes.
Chukkers and divot stomps—with
champagne, of course—are what polo matches are known for. And although this is
what draws many to Polo for Heart, the social event is also known for its
fantastic halftime shows, celebrity appearances, boutique shopping, silent
auction, gourmet lunches with drinks at exclusive donor tables, and daily
contests for the best hat and best picnic.
But our favourite reason to go …
is for the style, and the 2015 Polo for Heart games did not disappoint.
Dashingly dressed ladies and dapper gents were a sight to see off the field and
made for the kind of people watching that only comes around once a year. THE BRUNETTES will be sure to make Polo for Heart an annual tradition.
