THE BRUNETTES Party with TOM* Spring/Summer 2015

Perhaps no one throws a party quite like TOM* (Toronto Men’s Fashion Week). With venues like the Audi Downtown Toronto dealership and College Park’s Art Deco spaces, TOM celebrated a week of men’s fashion in style with locations that spoke to both the past and present of luxury.

Mixed highball and blue moon cocktails, along with flutes of prosecco were just some of the libations on offer. Epicurean delights and mini bites had the throngs of fashionistos swarming the well-appointed wait staff. Curated dance beats rocked the house, while style enthusiasts posed with hirsute models, live-tweeting and instagramming the events.

Throwback Thursday: THE BRUNETTES Attend TOM* Spring/Summer 2015

With only a few days left to go until the very first, Fall/Winter edition of TOM* (Toronto Men’s Fashion Week), we thought we’d share some never-before-released photography from THE BRUNETTES’ archive of TOM*’s initial, Spring/Summer debut back in August, 2014.

The event, which was then held at the historic Fairmont Royal York hotel in downtown Toronto, brought together designers, media, celebrities, and industry for the best of Canadian menswear, fashion technology, and parties. Shown above in this Throwback Thursday post are some of our favourite moments from the event, as well as exclusive, backstage photography.

With so many unforgettable moments had from the premiere of TOM* last season, THE BRUNETTES can’t wait to see what surprises the event will have in store, at its new College Park location, when it kicks off next week.

Versace Men's Spring/Summer 2015

The Versace Men's Spring/Summer 2015 campaign is a nod to nostalgia. This advert exudes opulence and sensuality and features a wardrobe of mesh tops, hand-painted leather jackets and the label's signature Medusa head chains.

Versace's latest campaign reminds us of founder Gianni Versace's Miami residency and sets a luxe and tropical tone for the Spring/Summer 2015 season.

Aleks Susak Spring/Summer 2015

Last Wednesday, THE BRUNETTES headed over to 99 Sudbury, one of Toronto’s hippest, studio, event venues in the city, to check out the runway debut of the new, Canadian, womenswear label Aleks Susak.

The Spring/Summer 2015 collection was presented to over 250 members of the industry, including members of the media, industry, celebrities, and THE BRUNETTES, of course.

Denim, leather, and silk textiles were used in contrast throughout the line to express femininity and strength, while original, hand-painted art—incorporated into many of the designs by Susak and her artist mother, Mila Susak—highlighted individuality.

Thomas Bálint Spring/Summer 2015

Bold stripes and pops of vibrant blood orange were signature trademarks of the Thomas Bálint Spring/Summer 2015 collection that was recently presented at World MasterCard Fashion Week.

The relatively unisex line focused on slouchy, androgynous pieces with a modern aesthetic and look that is tailored intentionally to be unstructured. Always one of THE BRUNETTES’ favourite collections at WMCFW, Michael Thomas Bálint never fails to present an evolved point of view with his take on contemporary menswear.
