Double-Rainbow Plaid Pictorials: Thom Browne and METAL Magazine Get Edgy with a Traditional Tartan

Top models Sebastian Sauve and Anna Martynova appear to be torn from the same plaid cloth in this exclusive Thom Browne editorial from issue 29 of METAL magazine. Play clothes and laundry days come to mind as the model duo poses in a child-like manner on a comfy, color-infused bed of designer tartans, forming a double rainbow of the fashion variety.

Audubon Athletic Apparel: The Agi & Sam for Topman Collection Takes Flight

Hitting stores on June 4th, the Agi & Sam for Topman collection is sure to fly off the shelves with its nature-inspired prints and soccer influences. The capsule collection focuses on sportswear, but really soars to ultimate heights with its sharply tailored suiting.

With design references of egg shells, feathers, and birds' nests, as well as more literal owl prints, present throughout the range, one may be reminded of classic Audubon imagery when shopping the youthful, yet sophisticated, line. So if fine feathers really do make fine birds, then the Agi & Sam for Topman collection is one that shouldn't be missed.

Casually Chic Collaborations: The Entire Milly for Banana Republic Lookbook Revealed

THE BRUNETTES first shared a sneak peek of the Milly for Banana Republic Summer collection with you way back in January. With the collection set to debut in stores and online tomorrow, we thought it only appropriate to now share the entire lookbook of this fast-fashion/designer collaboration.

Polished, preppy looks comprised of ornate prints and bright hues of pink, turquoise, and blue are featured in the line that designer Michelle Smith was inspired by the Hamptons' lifestyle to create. So if you're looking for some affordable summer separates with an air of affluence, then the Milly for Banana Republic collection may have just what you need.

Color-Soaked Streetwear Parties: The BRUNETTES Attend the BAZZUL for LAB & iD Launch Party

THE BRUNETTES recently headed over to the Brockton Collective for the edgiest, fashion launch that the duo has ever attended. The BAZZUL for LAB & iD Launch Party was thrown in part as a celebration of the two brands’ collaborative teamwork, but also as a showcase of the boutiques’ hip, new, Spring/Summer 2013 collections.

Special guests at the party included a slew of popular DJs, LAB & iD creator Junior Sealy, and London-based, designer/DJ Roberto Piqueras. Between musical sets, THE BRUNETTES mingled with other fashion enthusiasts and scenesters in the crowded, gallery space and congratulated Junior on the impressive party, LAB & iD’s success, and on a stunning showing of Roberto Piqueras designs, which can be purchased online from LAB & iD and were worn to the party by Junior himself.

Later, THE BRUNETTES chatted up Roberto Piqueras about their mutual love for design, travel, music and interdisciplinary arts. We also spoke with the designer about his genius, flash-mob technique for presenting his collections to the masses in unexpected venues like London's British Museum.

After a revealing conversation about Piqueras’s desire to artfully bring awareness to his brand while still respecting the venues of his impromptu fashion shows, THE BRUNETTES danced the rest of the evening away to some DJ-spun beats from the designer as well.

Mackage Fall 2013 Hits the Runway at World MasterCard Fashion Week

The Mackage Fall 2013 collection graced the main runway stage during Day 3 of World MasterCard Fashion Week. Known for their signature brand of covetable outerwear, the label's designers, longtime friends Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan, impressed an audience of onlookers with impeccably tailored coats, down winterwear and luxe leather jackets that were worn by both male and female models.

Designed with an urban consumer in mind, this collection of bright seasonal jackets and unexpected nylon leggings displayed a diverse palette of blues, deep oxblood hues, vibrant reds and citrus orange tones. The sophisticated runway presentation also embraced rich texture combinations like leather and fur-trimmed accents, as well as geometric piping details, that added a tactile element to the garments. Models took to the runway stage in luxuriously layered ensembles that combined vivid bursts of color with a monochromatic gingham print. The Mackage Fall 2013 collection featured a seamless mix of aesthetics and practicality thanks to its focus on both youthful design details and comfort for its wearer.
