Just moments after picking up our media passes for
World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week Spring 2013,
THE BRUNETTES headed into the studio area for an official event welcoming speech by Peter Levy of
IMG World and Betty K. Devita,
Mastercard Canada President, who shared some of the unique history behind
Toronto Fashion Week and their plans for elevating Canada's status in the international fashion scene.
After some champagne and very tasty hors d’oeuvres, catered by
Ritz Carlton Toronto,
THE BRUNETTES took their seats to watch the first of three shows. The
Holt Renfrew Spring/Summer 2013 collection showcased the best in designer names from Canada and abroad, while the
Pink Tartan and
PAVONI catwalks unveiled show-stopping Spring pieces in their feminine collections.
Between shows
THE BRUNETTES hung out in the
Target Media Lounge, where we caught up with actor and former
MTV Canada host Dan Levy and rubbed elbows with industry insiders. We even nabbed a shot of
KORHANI Home designer Kirsten Korhani, who personally invited us to her show on Wednesday after sneaking a closer look at this hot pair of heals from
Aldo.
Aldo, known around the world for its affordably-chic footwear, collaborated with designer Kimberly Newport-Mimran for her
Pink Tartan Spring/Summer 2013 collection, as Jana discovered from the brand's PR Director, Wendie Godbout. The two later chatted about making the perfect matching style choice by both choosing this eye-catching animal print.
When the catwalk presentations were done and the tents had
closed,
THE BRUNETTES made their way over to the
Thompson Hotel Toronto rooftop to
celebrate with the incredibly talented
Adrian Wu at his Spring/Summer collection pre-party.
